Abstract

“What we call the beginning is often the end And to make and end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from.{….} Every phrase and every sentence is an end and a beginning, Every poem an epitaph. And any action Is a step to the block, to the fire, down the sea's throat Or to an illegible stone: and that is where we start. We die with the dying: See, they depart, and we go with them. We are born with the dead: See, they return, and bring us with them….” T. S. Eliot, Four quartets

Abstract in english

Death is an ending but also a process of transformation. When a living organism dies, the energy and matter contained within its body do not simply disappear. Matter gradually decomposes, transforms and is redistributed into the environment, while the energy stored within the body disperses, transforms and expands into space. Through this process, I also explore identity as something fluid and temporary. Something that, like the body, is constantly changing and gradually losing its boundaries. Starting from concepts such as accumulation and dispersion, construction and deconstruction, connection and release, I create a composition of organic masses that simultaneously embody tenderness and threat. They accumulate, expand and disperse throughout the space, creating forms which are in a state of continuous transformation, suspended between birth and decomposition.

Brief Bio
