| dc.description.abstract | Η σειρά έργων μου, με τίτλο “The Girl Who Didn’t Blink”, αποτελεί μια εικαστική αφήγηση που διερευνά το παιδικό βίωμα και τον κύκλο της ζωής, από την αθωότητα της παιδικής ηλικίας έως την αυτογνωσία της ενηλικίωσης. Ο τίτλος αναφέρεται σε μια κοπέλα που παρατηρεί τον κόσμο με μια επίμονη και διαρκή ματιά, συμβολίζοντας την έντονη ευαισθησία και την αέναη εγρήγορση απέναντι στις εμπειρίες της ζωής. Η σειρά αποτυπώνει τη μετάβαση μέσα από μορφές με εξωπραγματικά, ονειρικά χαρακτηριστικά, όπου τα μεγάλα, εκφραστικά μάτια λειτουργούν ως οπτικά σύμβολα κατανόησης, ενδοσκόπησης και συναισθηματικής έκφρασης. Τα μάτια αυτά λειτουργούν ως κεντρικός εκφραστικός άξονας, αντιπροσωπεύοντας την ανάγκη σύνδεσης, επικοινωνίας και αναζήτησης νοήματος σε διαφορετικές φάσεις της ζωής. Η θεματική μου αντλεί έμπνευση από την έννοια του κύκλου της ζωής. Από την αθωότητα και την ανεμελιά της παιδικής ηλικίας, περνάμε στη μοναξιά, τις συγκρούσεις και τη σταδιακή αυτογνωσία της ενηλικίωσης. Τα έργα αποτυπώνουν αυτή τη διαδρομή μέσα από ρευστές φόρμες και απαλές χρωματικές παλέτες, που δημιουργούν έναν κόσμο ανάμεσα στη φαντασία και την πραγματικότητα. Οι φιγούρες, τοποθετημένες σε αφαιρετικά και άτοπα περιβάλλοντα, υποδηλώνουν την απομόνωση και τη συνεχή αναζήτηση ταυτότητας. Το “The Girl Who Didn’t Blink” είναι μια διαδρομή που καλεί τον θεατή να ανατρέξει στα δικά του βιώματα, να αναγνωρίσει την ευαλωτότητα και τη δύναμη που φέρουν κάθε φάση της ζωής, και να ταυτιστεί με την αφήγηση. Η σειρά, μέσα από την υπερρεαλιστική αισθητική και την αφηγηματική της δομή, προσφέρει μια γέφυρα ανάμεσα στην προσωπική εμπειρία και την οικουμενικότητα του ανθρώπινου συναισθήματος. Κάθε έργο γίνεται έτσι όχι μόνο μια προσωπική κατάθεση αλλά και ένα ανοιχτό πεδίο σύνδεσης, κατανόησης και ενδοσκόπησης, τονίζοντας τη σημασία του βιώματος και της μνήμης στη διαμόρφωση της ταυτότητάς μας. | |

The title refers to a girl who observes the world with a persistent, unblinking gaze, symbolizing heightened sensitivity and constant alertness toward life’s unfolding experiences. The series captures this transition through figures with surreal, dreamlike features, where their large, expressive eyes function as visual symbols of understanding, introspection, and emotional expression. These eyes become the central expressive axis of the work, representing the need for connection, communication, and the search for meaning across different stages of life. The thematic core draws inspiration from the concept of the life cycle. From the innocence and carefree nature of childhood, we move through solitude, inner conflicts, and the gradual process of self-knowledge that characterizes adulthood. The works articulate this journey through fluid forms and soft color palettes, creating a world that drifts between imagination and reality. The figures, placed within abstract and placeless environments, suggest a sense of isolation and a continuous search for identity. The “Girl Who Didn’t Blink” invites viewers to revisit their own memories, to recognize the vulnerability and strength embedded in each phase of life, and to identify with the narrative. Through its surreal aesthetic and narrative structure, the series offers a bridge between personal experience and the universality of human emotion. | dc.description.cv | Η Αλιόνα Τζούφη είναι τελειόφοιτη του ΣΤ’ Εργαστηρίου Ζωγραφικής της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών. Από το 2022 διδάσκει ζωγραφική σε εργαστήριο εκμάθησης σχεδίου, όπου προετοιμάζει μαθητές δημοτικού για τις εισιτήριες εξετάσεις των καλλιτεχνικών γυμνασίων, ενώ παράλληλα διδάσκει εικαστικά και σε εφήβους. Έχει συμμετάσχει στο Platforms Project (2020, 2022) και το 2024 το οποίο διοργανώθηκε στο Δημόσιο Καπνεργοστάσιο, καθώς και σε ομαδικές εκθέσεις στις γκαλερί Artshot “Σοφία Γαϊτάνη” Generationshot#4 (2024) και Eos Gallery (2024). Το 2024 συμμετείχε επίσης στο Μουσείο Μπενάκη, στο Εργαστήριο Γιάννη Παππά, στην ομαδική έκθεση με τίτλο “Homo Animalis: Το Ανθρωποζωικό Σύμπλεγμα”. Το 2025 συμμετείχε στο project “Outdoor Art: Where Inspiration Breathes” της Columbia σε συνεργασία με τη Sianti Gallery. Το έργο της εκτέθηκε στο κατάστημα της Columbia στο εμπορικό κέντρο The Mall Athens, καθώς και στη Sianti Gallery, όπου και βραβεύτηκε με το 1ο Βραβείο. | |
