| dc.description.abstract | Η θεματολογία των έργων, βασίζεται στον μύθο του Ερισύχθονα. Στα ζωγραφικά έργα αποτυπώνονται οι έννοιες της περιπλάνησης, αδηφαγίας, τιμωρίας, αυτοκαταστροφής. Οι ζωγραφικές απεικονίσεις λειτουργούν ως συνδετικό στοιχείο της σχέσης ανθρώπου-φύσης και ως σύνδεση με τον μύθο. Τα τοπία αντικατοπτρίζουν διαφορετικές όψεις, δίνοντας επιπλέον συμβολισμό απόκοσμης ατμόσφαιρας, ενώ λειτουργούν ως αποσπασματική αφήγηση της ανθρώπινης καταστροφής. Τα μουντά και σκοτεινά χρώματα υποδηλώνουν αρνητική ατμόσφαιρα, ενώ το φως έχει σημαντικό ρόλο στα έργα. Στα γλυπτά έργα, οι κορμοί παρουσιάζονται κατεστραμμένοι, χωρίς βλάστηση, συρρικνωμένοι, δίνοντας την αίσθηση της αποσύνθεσης. Το μικρό μέγεθος τους, συνδέεται με την υποβάθμιση της φύσης στην σύγχρονη εποχή. Η έντονη μορφολογία, η πλαστικότητα και η οργανική τους δομή υποδηλώνει μια αίσθηση παραμόρφωσης. Τοποθετημένοι στο έδαφος, συμβολίζουν την σύνδεση τους με τη γη. Συνολικά, τα έργα αλληλεπιδρούν ως σύγκρουση ανθρώπου/φύσης, σαν κύκλος συνύπαρξης και ταυτόχρονης καταστροφής. Συνυπάρχουν και αντιπαρατίθενται. Ο μύθος είναι διαχρονικά επίκαιρος. Ο άνθρωπος στον βωμό της απληστίας και του κέρδους, καταστρέφει τους φυσικούς πόρους του πλανήτη. Τα έργα, αναδεικνύουν την σχέση ανθρώπου/φύσης και συνθέτουν μια αφήγηση για την περιβαλλοντολογική κρίση. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | The subject matter of the artworks is based on the myth of Erysichthon. The paintings capture the concepts of wandering, gluttony, punishment, and self-destruction. The pictorial representations function as a connecting element in the human-nature relationship and as a link to the myth. The landscapes reflect different aspects, imparting an additional symbolism of an otherworldly atmosphere, while functioning as a fragmentary narrative of human destruction. Muted and dark colors suggest a negative atmosphere, whereas light plays a significant role in the works. In the sculptures, the trunks are presented as damaged, devoid of vegetation, and shrunken, conveying a sense of decomposition. Their small size is connected to the degradation of nature in the modern era. Their intense morphology, plasticity, and organic structure suggest a sense of deformation. Placed on the ground, they symbolize their connection to the earth. Overall, the artworks interact as a human-nature conflict, like a cycle of coexistence and simultaneous destruction. They coexist and contrast with one another. The myth is timelessly relevant. Mankind, on the altar of greed and profit, destroys the planet's natural resources. The works highlight the human-nature relationship and compose a narrative about the environmental crisis. | en |
