| dc.description.abstract | Το έργο Nosedive γεννήθηκε από την επιθυμία μου να εξερευνήσω την λεπτή γραμμή ανάμεσα στην πτώση και στην αναγέννηση, το σκοτάδι και το φως. Μια σειρά από κεραμικά γλυπτά αιχμηρές φόρμες, με τον μύθο της Περσεφόνης ως βασικό σημείο αναφοράς. H κατάβαση της Περσεφόνης στον Άδη συνιστά μια πράξη βίαιης απομάκρυνσης, αλλά ταυτόχρονα εγκαινιάζει έναν επαναλαμβανόμενο κύκλο ζωής και θανάτου. Η περιοδική επιστροφή της στη γη σηματοδοτεί την αναγέννηση της φύσης και την αποκατάσταση της κοσμικής ισορροπίας. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | The work Nosedive was born from my desire to explore the fragile boundary between descent and rebirth, darkness and light. Through a series of ceramic sculptures with sharp, aggressive forms, the myth of Persephone serves as a central point of reference. Persephone’s descent into the Underworld constitutes an act of violent separation, yet at the same time it initiates a recurring cycle of life and death. | dc.description.cv | Η Ελισάβετ Σαμινέλη γεννήθηκε και μεγάλωσε στην Αθήνα, σπούδασε Γλυπτική στην Καλών Τεχνών της Αθήνας και πλέον διδάσκει Κεραμική και Γλυπτική. Τα έργα της είναι σύγχρονα κεραμικά γλυπτά που κινούνται ανάμεσα στο σουρεαλιστικό και το γκροτέσκ, μεταμορφώνοντας γνώριμα αντικείμενα σε μορφές που ανήκουν σε έναν άλλο κόσμο και συνομιλούν με το φανταστικό. Η δουλειά της επηρεάζεται από την μυθολογία και την αισθητική του Bauhaus, συνδυάζοντας αφηρημένα στοιχεία με μυστηριώδεις αφηγήσεις. | |
