| dc.description.abstract | Τα κεντρικά έργα της έκθεσης, Flowers of Hades και To Be Continued, διαπραγματεύονται την έννοια του θανάτου του εαυτού και της αναγέννησής του από δύο διαφορετικές οπτικές, την προσωπική και τη συλλογική. Το ένα προσωποποιεί τον θάνατο μέσα από τη μητέρα, ενώ το άλλο τον εντοπίζει μέσα από μία σχέση βιομηχανικής παραγωγής και κατανάλωσης. Και τα δύο έργα μιλούν για σχέσεις απώλειας και μετασχηματισμού. Γίνοται χώροι μετάβασης (liminal spaces), σημεία όπου ο εαυτός μεταμορφώνεται και επανέρχεται, αλλάζοντας την κατάστασή του. Ο γενικός τίτλος I’m Sorry; I Can Be Reborn (Λυπάμαι· μπορώ να ξαναγεννηθώ) τοποθετεί τον εαυτό σε δύο στάδια, του πένθους και της αναγέννησης, θέλοντας να περιγράψει την ανάγκη προς μια διαφορετική ταυτότητα. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | The central works of the show, Flowers of Hades and To Be Continued, explore the concept of the death of the self and its rebirth from two different perspectives, personal and collective. One personifies death through the mother, while the other traces it through a relationship of industrial production and consumption. Both works speak of relationships of loss and transition. They become liminal spaces, points where the self transforms and returns, changing its state. The overall title I’m Sorry; I Can Be Reborn places the self in two stages -mourning and rebirth- aiming to describe the need for a different identity. | en |
