| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα ενότητα έργων αποτελεί μια οπτική σπουδή πάνω στη λεπτή γραμμή που χωρίζει την ύπαρξη από την απουσία. Μέσα από μια εσωτερική χαρτογράφηση της απώλειας και του πένθους, τα έργα πραγματεύονται τη βίαιη μεταμόρφωση που επιφέρει ο θάνατος, όχι μόνο σε συναισθηματικό αλλά και σε οργανικό επίπεδο. Κεντρικός άξονας της δουλειάς είναι η έννοια της Αποικοδόμησης. Στη φύση, η χημική διάσπαση της νεκρής ύλης δεν είναι το τέλος, αλλά η προϋπόθεση για τη νέα ζωή, καθώς τα συστατικά επιστρέφουν στο περιβάλλον για να αφομοιωθούν από αυτό. Στα έργα, αυτή η βιολογική διαδικασία μεταβολίζεται σε τέχνη: τα χρυσάνθεμα που κυριαρχούν στις συνθέσεις, λειτουργούν ως σύμβολα μιας παράδοξης αισιοδοξίας. Είναι τα φυτά που τρέφονται από τη φθορά, γεφυρώνοντας το χάσμα ανάμεσα σε αυτό που χάθηκε και σε αυτό που αναγεννάται. Η δημιουργική διαδικασία χαρακτηρίζεται από μια εμμονική επανάληψη σταθερών στοιχείων. Αυτός ο ρυθμός δεν είναι τυχαίος, αποτελεί μια συνειδητή προσπάθεια επιβολής ελέγχου και τάξης απέναντι στο χάος των ανεξέλεγκτων ανατροπών της ζωής. Στο επίκεντρο αυτού του κόσμου βρίσκεται το κουνέλι, μια μορφή που ενσαρκώνει το μητρικό πρότυπο και την αναπαραγωγή. Με μάτια που παραπέμπουν στην αθωότητα των παιδικών παιχνιδιών, το ζώο γίνεται ο συνδετικός κρίκος με την παιδική ηλικία, εκεί όπου η ασφάλεια και ο φόβος συνυπάρχουν. Η αρχιτεκτονική της απώλειας αποτυπώνεται στα σκοτεινά σπίτια των έργων. Κτίσματα χωρίς φως, που μαρτυρούν το δυσαναπλήρωτο κενό στην καρδιά της οικογένειας μετά από μια απώλεια. Η σύνδεση με την καταγωγή και τη ζωή υπογραμμίζεται από τα σωληνοειδή σχήματα — ομφάλιοι λώροι που διατρέχουν τον χώρο. Σε σημεία, οι λώροι αυτοί κόβονται απότομα, σηματοδοτώντας τον βίαιο αποχωρισμό από τη μητρική φιγούρα. Τέλος, μέσα στα έντονα κόκκινα σχήματα κάθε έργου, κρύβεται ένας κρυπτογραφημένος κώδικας. Ένα γράμμα σε κάθε σύνθεση, που όταν ενωθούν, σχηματίζουν μια επαναλαμβανόμενη λέξη —μια επίκληση ή μια διαπίστωση που ολοκληρώνει το νοηματικό παζλ αυτής της εσωτερικής διαδρομής από τη διάλυση στη μνήμη. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This body of work constitutes a visual study of the delicate line that separates presence from absence. Through an internal mapping of loss and mourning, the works address the violent transformation that death brings about—not only on an emotional level, but also on an organic one. The central theme of the work is the concept of Decomposition. In nature, the chemical breakdown of dead matter is not the end, but the prerequisite for new life, as its components return to the environment to be reabsorbed by it. In these works, this biological process is transformed into art: the chrysanthemums that dominate the compositions function as symbols of a paradoxical optimism. They are plants that feed on decay, bridging the gap between what has been lost and what is reborn. The creative process is characterized by an obsessive repetition of constant elements. This rhythm is not accidental; it constitutes a conscious attempt to impose control and order against the chaos of life’s uncontrollable upheavals. At the center of this world stands the rabbit, a figure that embodies the maternal archetype and reproduction. With eyes that evoke the innocence of children's toys, the animal becomes a connecting link to childhood—where safety and fear coexist. The architecture of loss is reflected in the dark houses that appear in the works. Buildings without light, bearing witness to the irreparable void at the heart of the family after a loss. The connection to origin and life is emphasized through tubular forms—umbilical cords that run through the space. At certain points, these cords are abruptly cut, signifying the violent separation from the maternal figure. Finally, within the intense red shapes of each work, a cryptographic code is concealed. A letter appears in every composition which, when combined, forms a recurring word—an invocation or a statement that completes the conceptual puzzle of this inner journey from dissolution to memory. | en |
