Abstract
Οι έννοιες έθνος, κοινότητα, αρχείο, μουσείο, ιστορία, μυθοπλασία, μνήμη, υποκείμενο, συγγένεια σχηματοποιούνται μέσα σε ένα ασυνεπές ημερολογιακό χρονολόγιο. Περιγράφονται από προσωπικά κείμενα που συνδιαλέγονται με αποσπάσματα θεωρητικών και λογοτεχνικών αναφορών, αναφορές σε ιστορικά ή συγγενικά πρόσωπα και επινοημένα συμβάντα ή γεγονότα. Οι περιγραφές τεκμηριώνονται από ψηφιοποιημένο αρχειακό υλικό από οικογενειακές και άλλες συλλογές, στιγμιότυπα οθόνης, δακτυλογραφημένα χειρόγραφα, φωτογραφίες έργων ή αντικειμένων και εικόνες. Η σύνθεσή τους επιχειρεί να αποδώσει, με διάφορους τρόπους, την μεθοδολογία της καλλιτεχνικής μου έρευνας και να αναπτύξει το σύστημα εννοιών που την συγκροτεί. Τα κεφάλαια δομούνται από αποσπασματικές σημειώσεις που αναδεικνύουν μερικές περιπτώσεις της ύπαρξης του. Στον πυρήνα ή στις οριακές περιοχές αυτού του συστήματος, η έννοια της αυτοβιογραφίας ταυτίζεται με αυτήν του ιστορικού μυθιστορήματος. Οι σημειώσεις οδηγούν σε συνειρμούς, αναμνήσεις, διερωτήσεις και ανακαλύψεις. Εξετάζονται ζητήματα διαχείρισης διαγενεακών τραυμάτων, προσωπικής εμπλοκής ή αποστασιοποίησης και συγκρότησης μιας προσωπικής γλώσσας. Συμπτώσεις, τυχαία συμβάντα, αυθόρμητη επιτόπια έρευνα, αναμνήσεις της παιδικής ηλικίας και αναζητήσεις μετασχηματίζονται σε αυτοσχέδιες δοκιμές, επανεφευρέσεις σχεδιαστικών εργαλείων και μακέτες συνύπαρξης. Η μεθοδολογία εμφανίζεται να παραμένει υπό συνεχή ανακατασκευή και οριοθετείται από τις εκδοχές της.
Abstract in english
The notions of nation, community, archive, museum, history, fiction, memory, subject, kinship are shaped within an inconsistent diaristic timeline. They are described by personal texts interwoven with excerpts of theoretical and literary references, references to historical or related persons and invented events or happenings. The descriptions are documented by digitized archival material from family and other collections, screen shots, typed manuscripts, photographs of works or objects, and images. Their composition attempts to convey, in various ways, the methodology of my artistic research and to develop the system of concepts that constitutes it. The chapters are structured by fragmentary notes that highlight some instances of its existence. At the core or in the marginal areas of this system, the concept of autobiography is identified with that of the historical novel. The notes lead to associations, memories, questions and discoveries. Issues of managing intergenerational trauma, personal involvement or detachment and the construction of a personal language are examined. Coincidences, chance events, spontaneous field research, childhood memories and quests are transformed into improvised tests, reinventions of design tools and models of coexistence. The methodology appears to remain under constant reconstruction and is defined by its versions.
