| dc.description.abstract | Στο παρακάτω κείμενο θα επιχειρήσω να προσεγγίσω τη ζωγραφική ως ένα αφηγηματικό όχημα των εμπειρικών φαινομένων. Θα εκθέσω τόσο προσωπικές παρατηρήσεις που προκύπτουν από την ίδια τη διαδικασία όσο και παρατηρήσεις θεωρητικών και άλλων καλλιτεχνών. Ξεκινώντας από δύο εμπειρίες σχετιζόμενες με το φαινόμενο της δράσης και προθετικότητας των αντικειμένων, συνεχίζω με το παράδειγμα ενός έργου μου όπου ένα τέτοιο φαινόμενο μεταφέρεται σε μια ζωγραφική αφήγηση. Έπειτα κάνω μια ανάγνωση στο έργο της Roberta Booth όπου μεταλλικές επιφάνειες και γυαλιστερά αντικείμενα συνομιλούν τόσο με τις παραπάνω εμπειρίες όσο και με τη ζωγραφική μου. Παρακάτω, διαβάζω στο έργο του James Hampton την ανύψωση των αντικειμένων από την ευτελή τους καθημερινή υπόσταση σε θρησκευτικό υπερβατικό αντικείμενο. Στη συνέχεια θα εντοπίσω στο έργο του Panamarenko την εν δυνάμει διάσταση ορισμένων κατασκευών να αιωρούνται όπως και το «μάγεμα καθημερινών αντικειμένων» κάτι που επανέρχεται συχνά στη ζωγραφική μου πρακτική. Το τελάρο ζωγραφικής θα συμμετέχει σε αυτή τη δυνητικότητα ως μέσο για υπέρβαση και μεταφορά εικόνων σε ένα σχεδόν μεταφυσικό πεδίο. Έτσι, προχωρώ περαιτέρω, σε έναν αποσωματοποιημένο χώρο, τον χώρο του ίντερνετ και τη ψηφιακής απεικόνισης, για να αναπτύξω το θέμα της διάνοιξης εικονικών χώρων από την αναγεννησιακή προοπτική στα video games, την εικαστική πρακτική της Estelle Flores αλλά και τη δική μου πρακτική στα παρωχημένα προγράμματα ψηφιακής απεικόνισης. Έτσι, προκύπτει μια πολύ-πρισματική θέαση που φιλοδοξεί ο αναγνώστης να έχει μια όσο το δυνατόν πληρέστερη κατανόηση των θεμάτων που εντοπίζω και επεξεργάζομαι στη ζωγραφική. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | In the following text I will attempt to approach painting as a narrative vehicle of empirical phenomena. I will present both personal observations arising from the process itself as well as observations from theorists and other artists. Starting from two experiences related to the phenomenon of action and intentionality of objects, I continue with the example of a work of mine where such a phenomenon is transferred into a pictorial narrative. Then I do a reading of Roberta Booth's work where metallic surfaces and shiny objects converse both with the above experiences and with my painting. Below, I read in the work of James Hampton the elevation of objects from their humble everyday status to a religious transcendental object. Then I will identify in Panamarenko's work the potential dimension of certain constructions to float as well as the "magic of everyday objects" something that often comes back to my painting practice. The painting frame will participate in this potentiality as a means to transcend and transport images into an almost metaphysical realm. Thus, I proceed further, in a disembodied space, the space of the internet and digital imaging, to develop the theme of opening up virtual spaces from the Renaissance perspective in video games, the visual practice of Estelle Flores but also my own practice in the obsolete digital imaging programs. Thus, a multi-prismatic viewing emerges that aspires the reader to have as complete an understanding as possible of the themes I identify and process in the painting. | en |
