| dc.description.abstract | Η εργασία εξετάζει την θεματική “Μπανταλή αφήγηση και κάτι ακόμα” ως μια δημιουργική σύνθεση που γεφυρώνει το παρελθόν με το παρόν, εστιάζοντας στην οικειοποίηση παραδοσιακών μοτίβων της Ηπείρου και των Βαλκανίων και την ένταξή τους σε ένα ψηφιακό, pop (λαϊκό) πλαίσιο. Μέσα από τη σύγκριση εφαρμοσμένων τεχνών και “υψηλής τέχνης”, διερευνάται η δυνατότητα μετατόπισης της λειτουργικότητας των λαϊκών μοτίβων προς νέα εννοιολογικά συμφραζόμενα. Το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο αντλείται από την αισθητική θεωρία του Ιμμάνουελ Καντ για την έννοια του ωραίου, από τις αναλύσεις του Walter Benjamin για τη μαζική αναπαραγωγή, αλλά και από τον Marshall McLuhan σχετικά με τα μέσα ως επεκτάσεις της ανθρώπινης αντίληψης. Η εργασία αναλύει την ιστορική και πολιτισμική διάσταση της εικόνας, από τη βυζαντινή και λαϊκή παράδοση έως τη σύγχρονη νεοελληνική τέχνη, εντοπίζοντας τη συνέχεια και την αναδιαπραγμάτευση των εθνικών αφηγημάτων. Παράλληλα, επιχειρείται η σύνδεση της εικαστικής πρακτικής με την κινηματογραφική αφήγηση, ειδικότερα με την ταινία του Ράντου Ζούντε “Ατυχές πήδημα ή παλαβό πορνό”, ώστε να αναδειχθεί η κοινή προβληματική γύρω από την ταυτότητα, τη μνήμη και τον φόβο απέναντι στη σεξουαλικότητα. Εντέλει, η “Μπανταλή αφήγηση” δεν επιδιώκει τη συγκρότηση μιας σταθερής και ενιαίας ταυτότητας, αλλά τη διάλυση των στεγανών της, προτείνοντας μια υβριδική και πολυεστιακή πρόσληψη της εικόνας. Μέσα από την αισθητική επεξεργασία, το στιλιζάρισμα(1) και τη συνάντηση διαφορετικών παραδόσεων, αναδεικνύεται η δυναμική του έργου ως κριτικής πρακτικής που αμφισβητεί τα όρια ανάμεσα στην εθνική μνήμη και τη σύγχρονη ψηφιακή κουλτούρα. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | The paper examines the theme “Bandali afigisi & kati akoma” as a creative synthesis that bridges the past with the present, focusing on the appropriation of traditional motifs from Epirus and the Balkans and their integration into a digital, pop (folk) framework. Through the comparison of applied arts and “high art,” it explores the possibility of shifting the functionality of folk motifs towards new conceptual contexts. The theoretical framework draws on Immanuel Kant’s aesthetic theory of the beautiful, Walter Benjamin’s analyses of mass reproduction, as well as Marshall McLuhan’s reflections on media as extensions of human perception. The paper analyzes the historical and cultural dimension of the image, from Byzantine and folk tradition to contemporary Greek art, tracing both the continuity and renegotiation of national narratives. At the same time, it seeks to connect visual practice with cinematic narration, particularly with Radu Jude’s film “Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn”, in order to highlight the shared concerns surrounding identity, memory, and the fear of sexuality. Ultimately, the “Bandali afigisi” does not aim to construct a fixed and unified identity, but rather to dissolve its boundaries, proposing a hybrid and multi-focal reception of the image. Through aesthetic elaboration, stylization, and the encounter of diverse traditions, the work reveals its dynamic as a critical practice that questions the limits between national memory and contemporary digital culture. | en |
