| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία έχει ως σκοπό να αναδείξει μια τάση προς διεύρυνση της συμμετοχικότητας στη διαμόρφωση της μνήμης και της ιστορίας στον 21ο αιώνα. Εκκινώντας από τα υλικά αποτυπώματα της μνήμης και της ιστορίας - το μνημείο, το μουσείο και το αρχείο - επιχειρεί να αναδείξει τις αλλαγές, στις οποίες ανευρίσκει κανείς την τάση αυτή. Συγκεκριμένα τόσο για τα μνημεία, όσο και για τα μουσεία επικεντρώνεται στη χρήση του εργαλείου της δημόσιας διαβούλευσης πριν την δημιουργία ή ίδρυσή τους και στη διάθεση ενσωμάτωσης μιας ανοιχτότητας στην ερμηνεία και πρόσληψη τους. Ειδικά, για τα μουσεία εισάγει, επίσης, τον ρόλο της εργαλειοποίησης της προφορικής ιστορίας και των νέων οπτικο-ακουστικών μέσων, ενώ για το αρχείο ερευνά τον ρόλο σε αυτό των νέων ψηφιακών μέσων. Ταυτόχρονα, μελετώντας την περίπτωση της τρομοκρατικής επίθεσης της 11ης Σεπτεμβρίου, αναζητά στις σύγχρονες πολιτικές και πρακτικές μνημόνευσης και εξιστόρησης τον τρόπο ενσωμάτωσης της συμμετοχικότητας, αναδεικνύει τις αγκυλώσεις του παρελθόντος και τις ατέλειες των σύγχρονων συμμετοχικών εργαλείων, που θέτουν εμπόδια στην επικράτηση της τάσης αυτής και προβάλλει τα χαρακτηριστικά των ψηφιακών μέσων ως οδηγών για την αλλαγή του νεωτερικού παραδείγματος σχηματισμού των δύο αυτών κομβικών διεργασιών για τη συνοχή και ύπαρξη των εκάστοτε κοινωνιών | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This paper aims to bring attention to a tendency towards a participatory configuration of collective memory and history in the 21st century. Using as basis the material imprints of collective memory and history -monuments, museums, and archives –, this essay attempts to study all the changes in which one finds this tendency. Especially for both monuments and museums, it focuses on the use of the tool of public consultation in the making of them and the willingness to incorporate an openness to their meanings’ interpretation and reception. As for museums, it also introduces the role that the instrumentalization of oral history and new audio visual media play, while for the archive it investigates how new digital media intervene. Furthermore, through the study of the commemoration of the terrorist attack of September 11, this essay investigates the ways, through which participation integrated in the contemporary policies and practices of collective memory and history, highlights the anchors of the past and the imperfections of modern participatory tools, which pose obstacles to the prevalence of this tendency and brings forward the characteristics of digital media as guides for changing the modern paradigm of the formation of these two key processes for the cohesion and existence of each society | en |
