| dc.description.abstract | Το θέμα της παρούσας πτυχιακής αφορά την ανάλυση της γυναικείας παρουσίας και εκπροσώπησης στο περιοδικό Ζυγός, το οποίο υπήρξε ένα από τα σημαντικότερα περιοδικά τέχνης στην Ελλάδα κατά τον 20ό αιώνα. Η κεντρική μου αφετηρία είναι το ερώτημα πώς και σε ποιο πλαίσιο εμφανίζονται οι γυναίκες καλλιτέχνιδες και συγγραφείς στο Ζυγό. Με ενδιαφέρει να διερευνήσω αν ο λόγος που αρθρώνεται στις σελίδες του διαφοροποιείται ανάλογα με το φύλο του/της συντάκτη/ριας και ποια είναι η σχέση αυτών των αναπαραστάσεων με την ευρύτερη κοινωνική και πολιτισμική συνθήκη της εποχής. Η μελέτη θα βασιστεί σε ποιοτική ανάλυση του περιεχομένου επιλεγμένων τευχών του Ζυγού. Θα εστιάσω κυρίως σε άρθρα που είτε γράφτηκαν από γυναίκες είτε αναφέρονται σε γυναίκες δημιουργούς. Μεθοδολογικά, η ανάλυση θα συνδυάσει εργαλεία από τις φεμινιστικές σπουδές τέχνης, την ανάλυση λόγου (discourse analysis) και τις πολιτισμικές σπουδές. Έτσι, δεν θα περιοριστεί σε μια στατιστική αποτύπωση της ανισότητας, αλλά θα αναδείξει τους τρόπους με τους οποίους η απουσία ή η περιορισμένη παρουσία των γυναικών λειτουργεί ως ενεργός ιδεολογικός μηχανισμός, ο οποίος συγκροτεί κανόνες καλλιτεχνικής νομιμότητας και αποκλείει τις έμφυλες εναλλακτικές. Με αυτό τον τρόπο, η εργασία θα επιχειρήσει να συμβάλει σε μια πιο κριτική ανάγνωση της ιστορίας της τέχνης στην Ελλάδα. Στόχος είναι να αναδειχθεί το φύλο όχι απλώς ως παράγοντας καταγραφής, αλλά ως αναλυτική κατηγορία στη μελέτη της θεωρίας και της κριτικής της τέχνης. Θεωρώ πως η μελέτη του Ζυγού, ως πηγής με ιδιαίτερη βαρύτητα για την ελληνική καλλιτεχνική σκηνή, προσφέρει το κατάλληλο έδαφος για να φανερωθούν τόσο τα όρια όσο και οι δυνατότητες μιας πιο συμπεριληπτικής ιστοριογραφίας της τέχνης. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | The topic of this thesis concerns the analysis of female presence and representation in the magazine Zygos, which was one of the most important art magazines in Greece during the 20th century. The central starting point of my research is the question of how and within what context women artists and writers appear in Zygos. I am interested in investigating whether the discourse articulated within its pages varies according to the gender of the author, and what the relationship is between these representations and the broader social and cultural conditions of the era. The study will be based on a qualitative content analysis of selected issues of Zygos. I will focus primarily on articles that were either written by women or refer to female creators. Methodologically, the analysis will combine tools from feminist art studies, discourse analysis, and cultural studies. Thus, it will not be limited to a statistical depiction of inequality, but will instead highlight the ways in which the absence or limited presence of women functions as an active ideological mechanism that constructs norms of artistic legitimacy and excludes gendered alternatives. In this way, the thesis will attempt to contribute to a more critical reading of art history in Greece. The objective is to highlight gender not merely as a factor for record-keeping, but as an analytical category in the study of art theory and criticism. I believe that studying Zygos, as a source of particular weight for the Greek art scene, offers the ideal ground to reveal both the limitations and the possibilities of a more inclusive art historiography. | en |
