| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία διερευνά την έννοια της ταυτότητας ως ιστορικής, κοινωνικής και πολιτισμικής κατασκευής, όπως αυτή συντίθεται μέσω των ιστορικών αφηγήσεων, της βιογραφίας και των λογοτεχνικών αναλύσεων Εξετάζοντας τις θεωρίες στοχαστών όπως ο Jean-François Lyotard, ο Michel Foucault και ο Hayden White, αναδεικνύεται η σχέση λόγου και εξουσίας και ο τρόπος, με τον οποίο οι αφηγήσεις συμβάλλουν στη συγκρότηση και διατήρηση κοινωνικών ιεραρχιών. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό, ο συγγραφέας προσεγγίζεται ως ιστορικό και πολιτισμικό προϊόν, φορέας πολλαπλών ταυτοτήτων, που κατασκευάζονται και επαναπροσδιορίζονται μέσω του έργου του, των βιογράφων του, του κριτικού λόγου και του αναγνωστικού κοινού. Η περίπτωση του συγγραφέα του 19ου αιώνα, Νικολάι Γκόγκολ επιλέγεται διότι η ιστορική προσωπικότητα του, κρίνεται ως αντιπροσωπευτικό παράδειγμα υβριδικής, κατακερματισμένης ταυτότητας. Η εργασία επιχειρεί να αναδείξει τις πολλαπλές εκφάνσεις της ταυτότητάς του, εθνικές, συγγραφικές, ψυχικές και έμφυλες και να διερευνήσει πώς αυτές αντανακλώνται στο έργο του, υπό το πρίσμα της μεταμοντέρνας και μετα-αποικιακής θεωρίας. Μέσα από τη συνάρθρωση φιλοσοφικών, ιστορικών και λογοτεχνικών προσεγγίσεων, ο Νικολάι Γκόγκολ αναδεικνύεται ως σύνθετο και αντιφατικό υποκείμενο, το οποίο συγκροτείται από τον λόγο, την ιστορία και τη μνήμη. Η εργασία καταλήγει ότι η κατανόηση του έργου του Γκόγκολ απαιτεί την αναγνώριση της υβριδικής φύσης της ταυτότητας του και την απελευθέρωσή του από μονοδιάστατες αναγνώσεις. Έτσι, ο Γκόγκολ αναδεικνύεται ως συμβολικό παράδειγμα της μεταμοντέρνας έννοιας του ταυτόχρονου, αντιφατικού και πολλαπλού υποκειμένου. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This study explores the concept of identity as a historical, social, and cultural construct, as it is shaped through historical narratives, biography, and literary analysis. By examining the theories of thinkers such as Jean-François Lyotard, Michel Foucault, and Hayden White, the relationship between discourse and power is brought to light, along with the ways in which narratives contribute to the formation and preservation of social hierarchies. Within this framework, the author is approached as a historical and cultural product, a bearer of multiple identities constructed and redefined through his work, his biographers, critical discourse, and the reading public. The case of the nineteenth-century writer Nikolai Gogol is chosen because his historical persona is considered a representative example of a hybrid and fragmented identity. The study seeks to highlight the multiple facets of his identity, national, authorial, psychological, gendered and to investigate how these are reflected in his work through the lens of postmodern and postcolonial theory. Through the interweaving of philosophical, historical, and literary approaches, Nikolai Gogol emerges as a complex and contradictory subject, constituted by discourse, history, and memory. The study concludes that understanding Gogol’s work requires recognizing the hybrid nature of his identity and freeing it from one-dimensional interpretations. Thus, Gogol stands as a symbolic example of the postmodern notion of the simultaneous, contradictory, and multiple subject. | en |
