| dc.description.abstract | Αφετηρία της συγκεκριμένης εργασίας στάθηκε το ερώτημα “Πώς εκφράζει η κινηματογραφική τριλογία Teenage Apocalypse την Δυστοπία και την Αποκάλυψη;”. Προκειμένου να δώσω απάντηση στο ερώτημα αυτό, προχώρησα σε μια βιβλιογραφική και κινηματογραφική έρευνα και την συγγραφή της συγκεκριμένης εργασίας, η οποία διακρίνεται σε δύο μέρη. Οι έννοιες Δυστοπία και Αποκάλυψη διασαφηνίζονται στις πρώτες υποενότητες (υποενότητες 1.1, 1.2) του πρώτου μέρους. Προκειμένου να κατανοήσω ποια δυστοπικά και αποκαλυπτικά χαρακτηριστικά θα αναζητήσω στις ταινίες, θα μελετήσω τη δυστοπική λογοτεχνία (υποενότητα 1.3) και την επιστημονική φαντασία (υποενότητα 1.4), οι οποίες προϋπήρχαν του κινηματογράφου. Ολοκληρώνοντας το πρώτο μέρος, θα αναφερθώ στη μορφή πλοκής και σκηνικών των δυστοπικών ταινιών (υποενότητα 1.5). Στο δεύτερο μέρος της εργασίας, θα τοποθετήσω τις τρεις ταινίες (Totally F***ed Up, The Doom Generation, Nowhere) μαζί με τον δημιουργό τους (Gregg Araki) στο ιστορικό, καλλιτεχνικό και ιδεολογικό τους πλαίσιο (υποενότητα 2.1). Στη συνέχεια, θα αναλύσω επιλεγμένες σεκάνς από κάθε κινηματογραφικό έργο, στις οποίες εντόπισα δυστοπικά και αποκαλυπτικά στοιχεία (υποενότητες 2.2, 2.3, 2.4). Στις αναλύσεις, θα συνδέσω τα στοιχεία αυτά με τις αναφορές τους στη χριστιανική θρησκεία και την σύγχρονη ιστορία. Ακόμη, θα διερευνήσω το πώς συνδέονται με κλάδους όπως η αρχιτεκτονική, καθώς και με άλλα κινηματογραφικά ρεύματα της εποχής . Στο τέλος, θα παραθέσω τα συμπεράσματα που προέκυψαν από την έρευνα μου και μερικές τελικές σκέψεις (υποενότητα 2.5). | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | The starting point of this work was the question "How does the Teenage Apocalypse cinematic trilogy express Dystopia and the Apocalypse?". To answer this question, I proceeded to a bibliographic and filmic research and the writing of this particular work, which is divided into two parts. The concepts of Dystopia and the Apocalypse are clarified in the first subsections (subsections 1.1, 1.2) of the first part. To understand what dystopian and apocalyptic features to look for in films, I will study dystopian literature (subsection 1.3) and science fiction (subsection 1.4), which predate cinema. To conclude the first part, I will refer to the form of plots and settings of dystopian films (subsection 1.5). In the second part of the paper, I will study the three films (Totally F***ed Up, The Doom Generation, Nowhere) together with their creator (Gregg Araki) in their historical, artistic and ideological context (subsection 2.1). Next, I will analyze selected sequences from each film work, in which I have identified dystopian and apocalyptic elements (subsections 2.2, 2.3, 2.4). In the analyses, I will connect these elements with their references to the Christian religion and modern history. Furthermore, I will explore how they relate to disciplines such as architecture, as well as to other cinematic currents of the time. Finally, I will present the conclusions drawn from my research and some final thoughts (subsection 2.5). | en |
