| dc.description.abstract | Η παρούσα εργασία διερευνά τη μετάβαση από την κυριαρχία στην εξουσία μέσω των ορμών, με βασικό θεωρητικό άξονα το έργο των Μισέλ Φουκώ και Χέρμπερτ Μαρκούζε. Η ανάλυση επικεντρώνεται στη διαμόρφωση της σχέσης του ανθρώπου με τη φύση, τον συνάνθρωπο και τον Θεό, αναδεικνύοντας τις πολλαπλές μορφές μέσα από τις οποίες οι ορμές γίνονται πεδίο κοινωνικού ελέγχου αλλά και αντίστασης. Ειδική έμφαση δίνεται στα έργα Επιτήρηση και Τιμωρία και Η Ιστορία της Σεξουαλικότητας του Φουκώ, καθώς και στα έργα Έρως και Πολιτισμός, Ο Μονοδιάστατος Άνθρωπος και Δοκίμιο για την Απελευθέρωση του Μαρκούζε όπου η εργασία αντλώντας ερωτήματα επιχειρεί έναν συγκριτικό διάλογο ανάμεσα στις δύο θεωρητικές παραδόσεις, φωτίζοντας τόσο την πειθαρχική και βιοπολιτική λειτουργία της εξουσίας όσο και τις δυνατότητες απελευθέρωσης των ορμών σε ένα νέο κοινωνικό και πολιτισμικό πλαίσιο. Θέματα όπως κοινωνική ισότητα και δικαιώματα μειονοτήτων, ο σεβασμός στην ταυτότητα φύλου και τον σεξουαλικό προσανατολισμό, η αντιρατσιστική και αντισεξιστική εκπαίδευση και η κριτική στις πατριαρχικές και αποικιοκρατικές δομές, παραμένουν ακόμα και στον 21ο αιώνα κυρίαρχα προς απάντηση ερωτήματα και η αναδρομή σε κείμενα σπουδαίων σύγχρονων στοχαστών αποτελεί μονόδρομο εάν θέλουμε έστω και «επιδερμικά» να προσεγγίσουμε την πολυπλοκότητα και την ευρύτητα της ανθρώπινης εκείνης δύναμης που μας παρασύρει σε εξουσιαστικές πρακτικές. Πιστεύω επίσης ότι κάθε θεωρητική ανάλυση πρέπει να εμπλουτίζεται με παραδείγματα έτσι ώστε να οπτικοποιείται η «λέξη» και φυσικά στην προκειμένη περίπτωση τα παραδείγματα προέρχονται από τον κινηματογράφο, τη video art και την performance, τα οποία λειτουργούν ως ενδεικτικά πεδία όπου οι έννοιες αυτές καθίστανται ορατές και βιωματικές. | |
| dc.description.abstracttranslated | This dissertation examines the transition from domination to power through the dynamics of human drives, focusing on the theoretical frameworks of Michel Foucault and Herbert Marcuse. The analysis investigates how the drives shape the relations between human beings and nature, between individuals, and between humanity and God, revealing the multiple ways in which desire becomes a field of both social control and resistance. Special attention is devoted to Foucault’s Discipline and Punish and The History of Sexuality, and to Marcuse’s Eros and Civilization, One-Dimensional Man, and An Essay on Liberation. Through these works, the dissertation develops a comparative dialogue between the two thinkers, illuminating both the disciplinary and biopolitical mechanisms of power, and the emancipatory potential of instinctual energy within a reimagined social and cultural order. Furthermore, themes such as social equality, minority rights, respect for gender identity and sexual orientation, anti-racist and anti-sexist education, and critiques of patriarchal and colonial structures remain central to contemporary debates. Revisiting the writings of major twentieth-century philosophers is therefore essential if we wish—even superficially—to approach the complexity and vastness of that human force which perpetually draws us toward relations of power and domination. Finally, this research underscores the importance of integrating artistic examples to visualize theoretical concepts. References to cinema, video art, and performance art— such as works by Pasolini, Godard, Jarman, Abramović, and Athey—demonstrate how the interplay of power, desire, and resistance becomes visible and experiential through the body and image. | en |
