dc.description.abstractH παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία διερευνά την επιστημολογική συνθήκη της «μετα-αλήθειας» υπό το πρίσμα της ραγδαίας εξέλιξης της τεχνητής νοημοσύνης. Σκοπός της είναι να χαρτογραφήσει τον τρόπο με τον οποίο οι ψηφιακές τεχνολογίες, και ειδικότερα τα μοντέλα τεχνητής νοημοσύνης, λειτουργούν ως μηχανισμοί που επιταχύνουν την αποδόμηση των «μεγάλων αφηγήσεων» και αποσταθεροποιούν τις παραδοσιακές έννοιες του αρχείου, του τεκμηρίου και της ιστορικής μνήμης. Η εργασία διαρθρώνεται σε δύο αλληλοσυμπληρούμενους άξονες: τον θεωρητικό και τον καλλιτεχνικό. Το θεωρητικό μέρος ανιχνεύει τη γενεαλογία της μετα-αλήθειας, εξετάζοντας ιστορικά παραδείγματα παραπληροφόρησης (από τον «Πόλεμο των Κόσμων» έως το Brexit) και αναλύοντας το φαινόμενο μέσα από κριτικά εργαλεία που παρέχουν στοχαστές όπως ο Friedrich Kittler, ο Guy Debord, ο Michel Foucault και ο Fredric Jameson. Στο καλλιτεχνικό μέρος, υιοθετείται η περσόνα ενός «Ιστορικού του Μέλλοντος». Το έργο συγκροτεί μια μυθοπλαστική αφήγηση γύρω από ένα πραγματικό γεγονός: ένα ακαδημαϊκό συνέδριο στην Ταϊπέι το 1978, λίγο πριν την ιστορική μεταστροφή της εξωτερικής πολιτικής των ΗΠΑ. Το αυθεντικό αρχειακό υλικό «μολύνεται» σκοπίμως με τεκμήρια που παρήχθησαν μέσω τεχνητής νοημοσύνης (συνθετική φωνή μάρτυρα, πλαστά υπομνήματα, υβριδικές εικόνες και ηχητικά ντοκουμέντα). Η εργασία ολοκληρώνεται τοποθετώντας αυτή την πρακτική σε διάλογο με σύγχρονους καλλιτέχνες και συλλογικότητες (Walid Raad, Joan Fontcuberta, The Yes Men, Forensic Architecture), εξετάζοντας διαφορετικές στρατηγικές αντίστασης και κριτικής στην εποχή της μετα-αλήθειας.
dc.description.abstracttranslatedThis master’s thesis explores the epistemological condition of "post-truth" through the lens of the rapid evolution of artificial intelligence. Its purpose is to map how digital technologies, and specifically AI models, function as mechanisms that accelerate the deconstruction of "metanarratives" and destabilize traditional concepts of the archive, the document, and historical memory. The thesis is structured around two complementary axes: the theoretical and the practical-artistic. The thesis is structured around two complementary axes : the theoretical and the artistic.The theoretical section traces the genealogy of post-truth, examining historical examples of disinformation (from "The War of the Worlds" to Brexit) and analyzing the phenomenon through critical tools provided by thinkers such as Friedrich Kittler, Guy Debord, Michel Foucault, and Fredric Jameson. For the artistic project, the persona of a "Historian of the Future" is adopted. The work constructs a fictional narrative around a real historical event: an academic conference in Taipei in 1978, shortly before the historic shift in US foreign policy. Authentic archival material is intentionally "contaminated" with synthetic evidence produced via artificial intelligence (a synthetic witness voice, forged memos, hybrid images, and audio documents). The thesis concludes by placing this hybrid practice in dialogue with contemporary artists and collectives (Walid Raad, Joan Fontcuberta, The Yes Men, Forensic Architecture), examining different strategies of resistance and critique in the era of post-truth.en
