Abstract
Statement της πτυχιακής του καλλιτέχνη:
(όπως αναγραφόταν στο κείμενο της έκθεσης του Φεβρουαρίου του 2024)
Για μένα η ζωγραφική είναι μία βασική ανθρώπινη ανάγκη. Η ανάγκη της έκφρασης στο χαρτί ή στο καμβά και η προσωπική ικανοποίηση που μου δίνει η δημιουργία δικών μου καινούριων εικόνων στην σύγχρονη εποχή μας.
Στην αρχή, κάνω μία δικιά μου αναπραστατική και ψευδορεαλιστική θα έλεγα απεικόνιση κάποιας φωτογραφίας στην οποία επεμβαίνω με ένταση αποδομώντας την μέσω χειρονο-μιών, χρησιμοποιώντας ματιέρες ή και άλλες τεχνικές μέχρι να εμφανιστεί μία εικόνα που να με ικανοποιεί στυλιστικά και να είναι του γούστου μου, που είναι συνήθως τα εξπρεσσιονιστικά έργα τα οποία εκφράζουν μία δυνατή συναισθηματική φόρτιση ή και ψυχική δια- ταραχή.
Η διαδικασία της ζωγραφικής μπορεί να είναι ευχάριστη ή δυσάρεστη και επώδυνη. Σε περιόδους υγείας ή αρρώστιας. Δεν με απασχολεί μία στείρα και ωμή μίμηση της φωτογραφίας αλλά η ένταξη ενός προσωπικού παιχνιδιάρικου και παράξενου ύφους έτσι ώστε το έργο να έχει μία ιδιαιτερότητα. Αγαπημένοι μου ζωγράφοι που παρακολουθώ τον τελευταίο καιρό είναι ο Adrian Ghenie, o Lou Ros, o Antony Micallef και ο Jaeyeol Han.

For me painting is a basic human need. The need of expression on paper or canvas and the personal satisfaction that I get from creating my own new images in our modern era.
At the beginning, I make my own represantation and pseudo-realistic display I would say, of some photograph in which I intervene with intensity deconstructing it through using patterns or other techniques until it appears an image that satisfies me stylistically and is to my taste, which usually are the expressionist works that express a strong emotional state or even a mental disorder.
The process of painting can be pleasant or unpleasant and painful. In times of health or sickness. I don't mind one sterile and crude imitation of the photograph but the inclusion of a personal playful and strange style so that the work has its own uniqueness. My favorite painters that I have been watching lately are Adrian Ghenie, Lou Ros, Antony Micallef and Jaeyeol Han.

Brief Bio
Born in 1994. In 2018 Charalampos Manolidis joins the Athens School of Fine Arts in the Third Painting Workshop under the supervision of professor Marios Spiliopoulos until 2024. His style of art can be defined as semi -representational expressionism with multiple variations amongst his paintings. He has joined many group exhibitions and his works are part of private and public collections. He lives and works in Athens, Greece.
